February 18, 2023 - on pnp pure flowers and plush strawberries.

silky tannin with the penetrating acidity driving this. I can almost taste this minutes after I've finished the glass.

    15% abv is unnoticed.

slightly hazy in glass with maybe a wee bit of oxidation showing in the hue.

May 5, 2022 - Really large scaled Bedrock. It’s almost too much for me, verging into OTT territory, with sweet strawberry and sweet orange fruit, bay leaf and a licorice-smoke level of extraction. But then the wine is saved by an incredible depth of chalky, petrichor-infused minerals, orange peel, high acidity, and ultimately a sense of real soil-to-glass transfer. I’d still prefer a bit more finesse, but this is an impressive wine and I’d like to see what it becomes in another 10 years. Maybe I’ll try to hold my one remaining bottle that long.

October 17, 2021 - Stunning Zin. Fruit forward and youthful, yet gaining complexity and secondary flavors. It's becoming so silky and just a beautiful wine. Retains great balance of fruit density and acidity, fruit forwardness and complexity minerality. Hides the ABV. Well done Bedrock.

July 16, 2021 - Served at cellar temperature and decanted for an hour. Deep black colour and an equally dense nose of heavy black and purple fruits with some rich spices. Thick but not in an unctuous way with a slightly chalky finish. Despite the richness this has a great purity and the tannins are not obtrusive.
