April 2, 2024 - Served single blind alongside a slightly corked 2003. Sigh. Mostly mature black fruit, nicely meaty, with assertive structure clear and present. Good weight, density, and balance.

March 2, 2024 - Some nice Burgundies (Chicago, IL): A fantastic showing of this wine, which has always been one of the choicest bottles in the Jadot lineup. Intense ripe strawberries on the nose, with an earthy spice note to supplement it. This is resolved and silky in texture, and the fruit, while sweet, doesn't feel heavy at all. There's a translucent quality to this wine with crystalline precision that's so damn good. A seriously impressive bottle of pinot noir that can readily hold its own against a lot of other spendier bottles.

January 15, 2024 - Great color, just a little bricking. The nose is fragrant; showing aromas of raspberries, black raspberries, flowers, charred oak, spices and a hint of minerals. This is almost full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and very good class. The long finish features integrated tannins and a mineral element. This is a bit past its prime in my opinion. Nonetheless, outstanding quality.

January 1, 2024 - Jadot Clos St Jacques Vertical: '90 '02 '08 (Rosebowl @ Ben & Kendra's): Pnp over 4 hours. The 2002 is in a heavenly place right now: silky with a delightful harmony of fruit and all sorts of range. Integrated but still fresh with red fruit and spice; still lovely thrust. Ripe, fruit-cushioned acidity. Oscillates between the fruit (red, blue, and black) and other notes like cured meat, soft peppermint, cherry bark, and leather. Flowers. Earth like the '90 and '08 but here less of it and more freshly tilled. Far more on the fruit end of the spectrum than the 1990 or the 2008 but less power than either. Enjoyable evolution -2030.

December 7, 2023 - Jadotfest 2023 (Noizé, London): So much going on here, darker fruits than some of the other wines we've tried. There's some charred banana leaf, some blueberries and a couple of ppm of Quink ink. Palate is cool fruited, slightly spicy and with a hint of white flowers. So complete. My and the table's second favourite wine of the night.

December 7, 2023 - Jadotfest 2023 (Noizé, London): Beautiful wine, depth and grandeur, vibrant with lots of life, there is polished and sleek and dark red fruit, a lick of sweet high-toned varnish, considerable freshness and a purity that just makes you stop and think about how good it is. Ooof. Of all the wines tonight this was arguably in the best spot for drinking, when you manage to somehow (and against the odds!) hit red burgundy at peak it is a really special moment. My red WOTN. Just brilliant.

April 5, 2023 - beautiful wine... out of 375ml bottle and loved this... right down the middle with red fruit and moderate acidity... fruit over a little bit of secondary... feels young frankly

February 20, 2023 - Soft and expressive on the nose - spices, earthy notes, red fruit, mushrooms. Very open and fragrant. On the palate detailed with a nice mineral streak, good acidity. Quite harmonious and fine. Very long. Drink (or keep). 92-94

December 26, 2022 - I hoped to repeat my recent experience with this wine but it was not to be. This does not mean it was not enjoyable. Deep garnet with some brick; dark red fruit with some mineral notes on the nose. The palate intense but the fruit was outplayed by the tannins, ripe and moderately fine, but more notable than they should be. Moderately long finish. Four more to go. Fingers crossed.

December 1, 2022 - Richard's Jadotfest (The Medlar, Chelsea): A touch closed at first, strawberry fruit, game, spice, fine but still firm tannins, fresh acids, good length finish.
