July 22, 2015 - Absolutely a flawed wine, this wine is so high in VA and probably brett, I don't know how it can be considered wine anymore. It tasted more like an aged Belgian ale than it did a wine. Undrinkable. Is this what natural wine tastes like? If so, I'd rather have artificial wine.

September 8, 2014 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium ruby-cherry color with a bit of brown. Nice nose of rust, spices, cherries, tart plums, orange peel. Smooth and medium-bodied on the palate, with fruit flavors mixing nicely with spices. Not tart, well balanced. Finishes quickly with a bit of grip and a dusting of light, coating tannins. A very well-made bottle.

July 2, 2014 - Surprised that only four months in our cellar has improved this wine, or perhaps the first bottle was off. I still wouldn't crave it, but do appreciate very forward raspberry and strawberry flavors. It is a light and lilting wine. 87

May 1, 2014 - I thought this was an incredible expression of Cab Franc. A low alcohol (11.9%...!) whole cluster Paso Robles, there's no alcohol or barrel flavors to overwhelm the subtle flavors of Cab Franc. Even with the whole cluster, there's no roughness to speak of. Hints of spice and berries, lighter than a comparable from Loire, silky and yet firm, this really was remarkable and surprising. I wish I had bought a case, only got 2 and they're all gone. A new world negociant to watch.

**Note, I don't rate with points
