November 25, 2021 - A fine example of the WV with excellent balance of fruit and sense of place. Hints of oak with a nice sweet background of cherry and strawberry. Dry mouthfeel. It's delicate but very focused. Long finish and smooth tannin. Let it relax a bit and it just improves.

October 24, 2020 - W milk soaked whole chicken from BBQ. This was very good - still had good body fruit and length. Yummy and good combo. No further improvement expected.

November 25, 2019 - Faint nose, the pallet taste more like rotten fruit than the beautiful wine that was bottled. Also caught notes reminiscent of vinegar

November 23, 2018 - Starting to show a little bricking at the meniscus, yet there is still a lovely ruby core. Bold scents of oak, raspberries, and forest floor dominate the nose with hints of spice and orange rind in the background. The palate is medium, with medium high acidity and a hint of stems or a slight green-ness that could add a little bit of complexity...yet may be problematic in the future. Check back in again in 3-5 years.

October 19, 2018 - Massive. Bright candy-coated nose. Rich cherry cola, with quietly firm tannins. Wish I had more! (At least I do have other vintages of their Roosevelt offering.)
