November 17, 2022 - Drank at the Farewell dinner at the Bordeaux wine dinner, Ch Coulon Larensac. A crowd favorite

    May 5, 2022 - As Mr. Spock would say...fascinating!

November 26, 2020 - nose of brined cured olives with a background of raspberry and red fruits toast and smoked meats on the pallet with a smooth lengthy finish

October 22, 2020 - An interesting bottle that’s tinged with sadness that it could have been better.
It’s not super deep or rich in colour or initial palate but soaks and stains palate in a silky, fruit laden soft spread. Reasonable finish, a very good and enjoyable wine but the elephant in the room is the alcohol.
Hidden and integrated very well but it’s there and you feel it as it’s virtually port levels !
16.1% is just too much for a wine - it’s almost fortified by then.
Saying that it’s got the boot and power to deal with most food and due to the fruit and acid doesn’t really show it as much as you would think. Actually a very good bottle.

What a shame it couldn’t be reigned in just a bit. Even to 14.8 %.
