August 8, 2021 - Nose of stewed plumb and barnyard. Strong on the tongue with black cherry, plumb, raisin and a hint of choclate. Very tannic. After it opens up, the nose is tea and black truffle. It’s much smoother with integrated tanins, but still thick and inky. Much better that way.

July 20, 2021 - Nice mature fortified wine. Similar in style to LBV Port but with more mature elements due to 23 years of bottle ageing. Drinking well now. Maybe not the best value at $50 CAD for 500ml.

December 18, 2006 - Just fabulous right now. Loads of plum compote, figs, vanilla, and chocolate. Complex nose; texture is good, save for a little prickle from the alcohol. Otherwise, elegant, rich, and delicious.
