July 25, 2019 - still going strong. Rich raspberry fruit, sandlewood and earth on the nose. Smooth and seamless with similar taste.

February 12, 2019 - On the pop this came off pretty international, modern, and without much sense of place or personality, but it seemed to transition with a bit of airtime. Fairly dense coloring with garnet edges and bricking at the outer portion. Aromas of sour and black cherry, earthy funk, black tea, iron, and dry leaves. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, and flavors of sour and black cherry, lemon, black tea, and spice. I'd say it's about right at the sale price of $20, and not really in the same league as the standout BdMs that run a bit more, but a perfectly suitable pizza/pasta wine.

October 22, 2016 - No detailed notes, but all four of us thought it was delicious at the end of dinner of chicken stew with mushrooms and a kale salad. Nice fruit, tannin well-integrated but definitely present. This wine was pretty evolved, but still has quite a bit of life left in it.

November 23, 2015 - Slightly better with this bottle. The nose is quite good, which leads to an expectation on the pallate which still does not quite deliver. The nose is red fruit with leather and earth, but the pallate continues to be quite thin. Overall, quite good, but not outstanding.

May 1, 2015 - Nose of forest and leather with a slight amount of red fruit coming through. Very thin on the initial palate with an earthy almost beefy dominance. Rather dry and thin on the finish, which is rather short. No real fruit, but fairly representative of Brunello.

April 12, 2015 - Earthy and leathery with decent fruit. There are other better Brunellos but this one works well for the price.
