July 15, 2023 - Wonderful! Complex with a dark berries and long finish. Still has tannins and a way to go!

November 30, 2019 - What a treat, but still young. Needed a good hour or more in decanter before opening up and integrating. Excellent nose with a hint of oak, great complexity and mouthfeel, long finish. Cellar two more years, or decant early, but this is a winner.
May 5, 2019 - Still plenty big and tannins still developing. Give this a couple more years but don't get me wrong, drinking nicely right now. This wine was mistaken for Zinfandel in blind tasting.
May 23, 2016 - Decanted for 30 minutes and drank over 1 1/2 hours. Opened quietly. It took a little time to release some of the flavors. It ended beautifully balanced between black and red fruits, spices and graphite. Very food friendly at this time and really enjoyed.
September 17, 2013 - Winorama with a surprise (engagement)!; 9/15/2013-9/18/2013 (Napa Valley California): Barrel sample and already I am excited for this wine! Didn't take very good notes on it, but I remember it feeling soft and cherry and just getting the hints of some of the deeper complexity to come although of course at that age there's still a hint of the fruit juice it started as. Looking forward to jumping on the spring allocation.
