September 22, 2022 - Not an ideal vintage Ofcourse and a secondary wine to boot. Still feels disjointed in the mouth, bitter aftertaste, just not great. Will buttchug my other 2 bottles.
March 4, 2022 - good wine but does not live up to cost.
October 18, 2020 - Great nose but bitter ending. Got better after the bottle was open for 2 hours. Drank bottle for 4 hours
October 9, 2020 - Outstanding. Dark inky black color with long legs. Aromas of burnt toast, fig and dark fruits. Less oak than I would have expected. Velvety smooth, heavy, long and lingering on palate. Well-aged bordeaux style with well integrated tanins. Tastes of melted chocolate, cassis, plum sauce on caramel apple streusel maybe?! Anyway, paired well with bar steak and pomme frites. Loved it.
February 26, 2020 - Enjoyed with dry aged porterhouse at Royal 35. Solid.
February 4, 2020 - Had with some spicy Chinese noodle. The worst food pairing ever. Couldnt taste anything with that noodle.
May 6, 2019 - Bitter, young, tannic
April 8, 2019 - Pop, splash decant, and pour. Drank over about 3 hours.
Frankly, this was disappointing given the price point. The nose was actually quite nice, but the palette did not match. Short on finish, mouthfeel, and complexity.
Not a bad wine, and I'd drink it if someone gave it to me. But I won't be a buyer again.
February 14, 2019 - Hmm. Seems to be another slightly off bottle. Rubber, both candied and bitter fruit notes. Glad this is my last one and moving on.
October 1, 2018 - Wow, this really has matured beautifully. My first bottle was off. This one is elegant and very well balanced.
