May 2, 2019 - Tasted @ M Chapoutier Park90 event: Black currant, plum, gravel, metallic aroma with salty tertiaries. Tasted black cherry, gravel, mineral, olives, grape skin with slight leather funk. This was tight for me and didn’t quite work tonight. Dumb phase? However, you can sense it’s potential. I would keep away for a few more years.

August 4, 2018 - Regular dinner group (@ MH): Beautiful bouquet with red and dark berries, leather and spices. On the palate supple and round, leather again, juicy acidity and beautiful tannin. Also some impressions of metal. Beautiful and still youthful wine.

April 6, 2017 - Visit to Maison Chapoutier Cellar Door Shop (Tain l'Hermitage): Medium garnet. Pronounced aromas of black cherry, black olives, black pepper, barnyard, leather, vegetal, roast meat. Developing. Dry, high acidity, high ripe tannins, medium (+) alcohol (14%), full body, pronounced flavours - primary fruit much more dominant. Long finish. Outstanding Hermitage, ideally to be left for several more years.

February 26, 2017 - It wasn't long ago that I tasted this but I had to open up a bottle with my parents to enjoy together with them as well. Opened and decanted for an hour. Oh boy how I regret I did not buy more.
On the nose: at first predominately red meat and blood, later on after some time in the decanter ripe cherries as well.
On the palette: perfectly balanced, full bodied, fruity, slightly drying on the tongue but oh so gentle. Aftertaste has some dark chocolate. This is an amazing bottle. Though as stated in my previous note it is ready to drink, I am still curious how this will evolve. So for my last bottle I will wait a substantial amount of time.
