April 17, 2017 - Need to breath a lot before being enjoyable

August 5, 2016 - Decanted. Full of flavour, complexity and fruit. Nose of barnyard, blue plum, Christmas cake, currants, cherry and bramble fruit - some slight sweat and cured meat. Palate of savoury (rosemary branch), plums, blueberries and slight red berry (perhaps strawberry and raspberry). Tannins present, but not drying.

Drinking so well now, but could go another few to have greater mouthfeel. Stunner.

November 1, 2015 - Good value easy drinking red blend. Quite sweet and not really complex

March 21, 2015 - The wine is clear and bright with a deep ruby colour.

The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of black fruit (dark plums, dark cherries), herbal notes (sage, thym) and pungent spices (black pepper).

The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has high supple and rounded tannins and a high slightly warm alcohol. It has a full body and pronounced intensity flavours of black fruit (dark plums, dark cherries), herbal notes (sage, thym) and pungent spices (black pepper). The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours. The fruit concentration is in balance with the alcohol and the tannins, but the wine could be more complex.

Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more complex tertiary aromas over the next 3-5 years.
