December 15, 2017 - Developing well. biscuit on the front, fine bead, lovely fruit and long finish. Very nice wine and excellent at the price point. Has years ahead.

October 5, 2017 - I found another bottle at the supermarket! Lemon colour. Apple and a touch of brandy on the nose, but also quite lactic. Really racy, intense flavour, extraordinary acidity but plenty of weight too. Not as complex or elegant as the last bottle, although this tastes a lot younger. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at £35].

September 27, 2017 - Deep straw colour, steady mousse; biscuity, caramel notes; starting to broaden, toasty, refreshing acidity, retains a youthful bite; good definition on an extended length.

September 27, 2017 - Once again an older bottle lurked amongst the latest vintage (2008), but the supermarket seems either not to know or not to care that older vintages of fine wines increase in value over time. Sure enough, this is the same price - and therefore much better value.

Very pale, but the nose is generous and very toasty - maybe even a touch smokey. With air, rather more open and peachy. Excellent flavour, good concentration, lots of honeycomb and cooked apple fruit. Just what I look for in vintage champagne, a step up from NV, and at this price hardly any more expensive. Generous and delicious.

    Disgorged 07/2013. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at £35].

January 16, 2016 - [Dinner with E&E T and G&L S at Preserve Kitchen, Melbourne] Very pale straw color; vigorous froth reduced to persistent minuscule beads. Biscuity nose above grapefruit white peach bouquet with hints of mineral, orange & lemon peel, anise, toast & a faint touch of autolyzed yeast. Light-medium weight, crisp, lively & vibrant stone, pome & citrus fruit flavors in fine equilibrium with zesty acidity, imparting congenial vivacity & superb precision. Long, well-defined finish.
