Community Tasting Notes 5

January 30, 2020 - Amber color. Bright acidity. Drinkable, but advanced. Edged finish, with fruit declining.

June 12, 2017 - Bring a Very Good Red . . . Again (Tilia): Decent chardonnay, but nothing stands out. I really couldn't get into this wine. It definitely did not taste like Montrachet to me. Interesting that we were a table of 9, the 4 of us on one side didn't care for it while the other 5 on the other side absolutely adored it.

June 8, 2017 - A Mix of Big Name CDP and Cab Blends (Tilia, Mpls): Light gold color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. Boy, this really hit a sweet spot tonight. Very well delineated and focused. Explosive nose of tangerine, lime, acacia, and meyer lemon. The palate too gives plenty of fresh and bright fruit with floral undertones, tangerine, bright lemon, medium plus body with an oily texture, wet stones, and dry lime extract on a long finish. Excellent.

June 23, 2016 - Tapas & an Embarassment of Riches at Craig's (Craig & Nita's Place): Light-medium gold color. Drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. Nice, a bit bigger styled, medium full to full bodied, lots of Meyer lemon on the nose, and adds in a tropical quality on the palate, butterscotch, mineral, medium plus finish. Excellent and a bit more Cali like.

February 21, 2016 - Pear, white peach on nose, medium plus body, grapefruit that warmed up to toast, mineral and brioche on the finish.
