April 25, 2024 - Fully mature in 750, I would be inclined to drink this wine sooner rather than later. The first bottle I opened was premoxed and undrinkable. The second fully mature, and I don't see this wine improving with additional cellaring. I have 10 more bottles to enjoy, and it's clearly time to drink up. Ready and will not improve in 750 format.

Tertiary notes appearing after an hour of air.

March 6, 2024 - Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium lemon colour, with wide watery rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle, green fruit of green apple, stone fruit of peach, mineral notes of stony and saline, dairy notes of cream, maturity notes of honey and hay, sweet spice of ginger. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body, with pronounced flavours of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of pear, oak notes of toast, dairy notes of cream, mineral notes of stony, maturity notes of hay. The wine has a long finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Puligny-Montrachet, with the wine demonstrating a good intensity in aromas of high complexity, continuing to evolve in the glass over time, having both youthful fruity and floral characters, minerality and sweet spice, as well as creamy and development notes. The palate is equally impressive, well-balanced, and robust in structure, with amazing concentration in flavours and a very long finish. It is ready to drink now and can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.

March 1, 2024 - Dunkles, gereiftes Goldgelb.

January 11, 2024 - CDT tasting at 84 Yesler. V3. Very rich, maybe even buttery. Took awhile to straighten out but will go very well with rich seafood dish.

May 23, 2023 - What a roller coaster of a ride this has been. Opened last night, I was convinced it was over the hill. The color was more orange than yellow and the wine seemed oxidized. I drank 1/2 and left the other half in the bottle overnight in the fridge. 21 hours later, the color hasn't changed, but everything else has! This has really lost the off-putting oxidative smells and is now showing very, very well. Looking thick and oily, this has lovely lemon oil, beeswax, coconut, and pretty spice showing out on the nose. The flavor only adds additional layers of complexity, with some honey, nutmeg and orchard fruit that lasts a long time balanced by just the right acid edge. Rarely have I seen a wine change THIS MUCH overnight. It's astounding. This may have been badly stored, I don't know, the color sure suggests it, but whatever, this came through like a champ in the end. 4-12-18-9: 93/100.

November 20, 2022 - Orchard fruits, yellow fruits, good balance, long long finish... the only flaw was noticeable oak. It's my first experience with this bottling. I suspect it will improve with age.

May 21, 2022 - Not a grower or cuvée that I've drunk with any regularity, but a very satisfying, albeit young bottle. Flamboyant on the nose with the white and yellow fruits showing shades of tropical fruits and exotic floral and framed my reduction and a bit of oak that seem to be knitting nicely. That palate manages the trick of being opulent but nervy simultaneously with ripe stone fruit and citrus flavors with a bit of shortbread nuance being undergirded by a firm mineral spine and a fine kicker on mouthwatering acidity on a long finish. All very sophisticated and grand and I'll say it, delicious. Could use a few years in the cellar, but if you are blessed with a few bottles, no shame in opening one. Sensational with the goat cheese souffle at the Simone. Bottle courtesy of SH.

October 9, 2020 - This definitely needed some good decanting, but unfortunately the guest I served was too stubborn to give white wine air other than from the glass. Oh well, still a good wine, but the vibe was halfway there. Lots of weight on the front with a fat fruit richness (yellow apple, ripe pineapple, melon). Acidity is struggling to get through this, but I'm thinking that with age, it will come along perfectly. Needs a year or two more to start shining.
