October 14, 2018 - Much better wine than the previous bottle. Good balance and length. Given how much each bottle is varying in quality, I assume this wine is nearing the end of its life.
July 9, 2018 - This is an ok wine, but it lacks a definitive edge. I drank this in one day (ok with friends - not on my own). The previous bottle was better on day 2, but you don't want a (white) wine to need multiple days. I think this is a year or 2 past its best. It is just flat.
October 19, 2017 - On day 1 this was a bit out of balance. I found the fruit a touch sweet, and the finish a little weak. I would have scored it around 89 / 90. On day 2 though it was so much better, The fruit and oak were nicely integrated, with a much longer finish. On day 2's showing this wine still has some life, on day 1, I'd say drink up.
March 2, 2016 - Nice wine. Lime, citrus and butterscotch on the palate. There is good length, and a balance between oak and acidity. Definitely room for the wine to develop.
November 16, 2015 - Young and fresh. Very pleasant.
November 2, 2014 - Gold in colour, the nose is rich and full, sweet fruit, a little grass and some caramel. These are all present in the taste, along with very well balanced acid and a full silky mouth feel. A long perfumed finish completes the package.
August 11, 2014 - Quite a rich, worked nose – lots of spicy oak, with tropical fruits and butterscotch. The palate is an improvement though – yes, the same flavours are present, but there is nice acidity and everything is in balance. A MR chardonnay for rich food. Should gain in complexity over the next 2-5 years I reckon. I may not be the biggest fan of this style of wine, but I sure can appreciate the effort!
