September 20, 2022 - This bottle was so different to the last two that I will have to do a quick review. Perhaps the most Bordeaux blanc like bottle I have tried from Mount Mary - a SHL lite if you will but this should be taken as a compliment.

Zingy, punchy, racy and slight toasty, it is now entering into its drinking window. The semillon is now taking centre with the sauvignon blanc forming the brackdrop. Still plenty of zest with energy, this could still go for quite sometime yet. Velvety finish.

    Drink now or to 2027+.

    March 13, 2021 - Vintage 2011 Tasting: pale straw.
    lightly citrus and hay.
citrus fruits, zesty, a hint of lemon curd. Med Wt, fleshy, well integrated, drinking nicely now, no need for further age.

July 5, 2020 - 2011 was not an outstanding on the whole in Australia but this bottle was excellent. Very aromatic nose associated with exotic fruits which carries through the palate till the very end. Some honey notes were also developing and everything was well integrated. A very well made wine in what was a difficult year.

April 20, 2019 - I’m blown away by how reliably good and consistent this wine is. Here with 8 years of age it was so fresh. Great vibrancy but with a refined delicacy and such beautifully integrated. Walked a wonderfully balanced line of roundness and tautness. The wine tasted of melon, green apple and had a lightly salty savoury backbone (a little Chablis like). Simply so more-ish

November 9, 2013 - Yarra Valley pioneers and padawans tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): Grassy notes with chalky musk and herbs on the nose and a palette of sweet fruit cutting through the acidity which makes for a nice, interesting balance.
