August 8, 2021 - What a surprise! This isn't even the highest end Cab blend from Penfolds, but it certainly held it's own. This guy tied with 2009 Ducru in a blind tasting of 2009 Bordeaux blends from around the world including Sassicaia, Insignia, Le Desir, and Meerlust Rubicon. Absolutely the best bang for the buck in our lineup. It's drinking really well now, however it probably doesn't have the structure to keep up with the Ducru for the long haul. Suggest drinking within the next 5-10 years. Overall a very, very good wine from Penfolds delivering high quality at a reasonable price point for high end Cabernet.

May 8, 2020 - Bu en fin de soirée… Quelle tenue ! Parfait ! Incroyable de dévisser de telles bouteilles (pas de bouchon de liège)

February 14, 2020 - Developing well with notes of black fruits, bell pepper, integrated oak, undergrowth, some truffle, graphite, sweet spices. Smooth Tannins. Ready to drink now and will last for another decade.

February 20, 2017 - A quick taste at Hedonist wines.
Nice depth with cassis and a lot of mint/eucalyptus notes which partly blows off after a while. Young still primary fruit impression. Refreshing acidity, good fruit and high intensity with a balanced long finish. Definitely a high quality wine but this needs time (and the acceptance of the minty notes). Wouldn't touch for another 5 years at least. Needs to come together but should have a long life ahead. 92-93p.
