September 21, 2019 - I opened this one side by side to a 2008 Bionic Frog from Cayuse, it was a close call but The Gander was the winner. I decanted it but drank it right away. This is in an absolutely amazing spot now. Beautiful berry nose with some meaty notes. A fruit explosion on the palate. Cherry, blueberry, cassis, a bit of licorice and bacon. Firm and deep structure, nicely integrated tannins. Very long and juicy finish - perfect. Drink now or within the next six years.
