December 25, 2016 - Pop and pour, fresh and still alive. Faded quickly after being decanter for an hour. Drink up.
November 11, 2006 - Consistant with (my) previous notes. Lots of character. great at the Italian restaurant.
October 22, 2006 - Fading from the pleasure of earlier bottles, this still is a most pleasant quaff. I think it's a great US answer to Chianti. Softer, richer,lacking the distinct edge of pure Sangiovese. Also a good bargain.
April 2, 2004 - Okay, I was a bit hard on the wine last time. Still not great, but it has come together and is on it's downward slide. Slightly musky nose with little fruit. Mouthfeel has improved, but lacks in fruit and has a slightly minty, metallic finish. Rim of the wine is amber with a white edge. Definitely doesn't live up to WS's rating.
August 16, 2002 - slight smokey bacon & strawberry. smooth finish.

June 9, 2000 - Dry and dusty tannins with sharp, bright berry flavors. Somewhat smoky, but not well integrated.
May 13, 1999 - Cherries, herbs, and some nice sweet red fruits, but rather simple. Not much structure, but a very nice quaffer.
