July 24, 2019 - Went very well with a fruit tart. Still has lots of fruit (cherry and blueberry)
    Not very complex.
A nice red for warm summer weather

March 26, 2014 - Cheap oak is the front runner here, has some dark fruit and tar in the mid palate but is austere on the finish.

February 16, 2014 - Just purchased a Coravin wine access device and decided to try it on a couple of bottles of Beringer Founder's Cab. Tried half a glass of two sample of this wine, extracted 1) via Coravin and 2) pulled the cork. Both bottles remain closed side by side in my cellar for later sampling. Today the color was a medium body red with skinny tears. Noticeable bouquet of underripe wild red berries, touch of vanilla, tart aromas, and slightest pich of maneur. Palate had long acidity, reduced fruit, touch of spice. Medium short finish of fruit.

    February 4, 2014 - Very alcohol tasting.

January 19, 2014 - I haven't had a "Founders Estate" since the 1997/1998 vintages, so I decided to try this on a whim. The price hasn't changed in all those years but the quality has. This wine is very fruity, with no tannic structure to speak of, lean and light bodied, short finish. Finishes with a headache. Nothing like those miraculous early vintages.
