June 15, 2017 - Great value, but not as tasty as other Garnachas we have enjoyed. Good with a meal, but not enough there to be memorable on it's own.
March 21, 2016 - Slight red berries with clove, nutmeg, vanilla, and smoke. Present and integrated tannins, firm acidity, and medium body. Dry with a clean finish. Great value.
February 6, 2016 - Highly recommended by my local wine merchant. Light to mid bodied. Elegant fruit with integrated tannins. Not bad but not one I would race out to buy again. Good starter wine. Drink up.
July 14, 2014 - aroma - clove/nutmeg; taste - very smooth, little smoke, nutmeg; body is fruit but in no way too jammy
May 27, 2014 - Spectacular QPR! The friend who gave this to me told me he paid $8.99 at Costco. Amazing.
May 27, 2014 - The bottle I had was thin, very dry with an almost bitter taste - not what I'd expect from a Grenache. Legs were very nice but the total absence of fruit was a big turn off. How this was rated RP 91, as was displayed on the wrapper, is beyond me. Maybe I had a bad bottle?? Found at Costco for under $9.
April 29, 2014 - The first bottle I saw with its Parker-rating printed on the capsule: 91 points. Colour: medium purple. Nose: raspberries. Taste: fruit with considerable spiciness (clove), a rather wild acidity and some complexity. Light bodied. A quite fresh wine. I am not sure that this wine will be better with keeping, but I cannot exclude it either. 86-(87).
February 14, 2014 - Dusty, buttery on the nose. Dry Concord grape initial flavor. Mid front tongue flat and watery, straight out of the bottle. Sensation of crepe myrtle in the nose.
January 26, 2014 - aroma - cherry, red fruits, cedar; taste - dark fruit, creamy tannins, leather, dark fruit finish
January 20, 2014 - I thought the wine was thin, astringent, un-complex, light, , austere with tannins and vine overtones. Remindes me of Cannoneau Di Sardina
The wine looks violet colored. The legs are fast. The body is light/medium. The wine has narrow texture. The wine finishes short.
