May 28, 2016 - Decanted 1hr. Oaky with grippy tannins, sour cherry and other red fruit flavors. About the same the next day. May need more time in bottle for this 2011 wine to knit together.

March 10, 2016 - Very tannic with deep fruit tastes; plum blueberry. Also significant notes of chocolate and black licorice. For this year, a very good bottle. Did not decant but that could probably improve things a bit.

January 31, 2016 - Terrific for the vintage, a classic display of great Napa Cabernet Sauv. Amazing on the nose, the aromas of cassis, black fruits, vanilla and light smoke carry to the palate in a rich, but well-balanced display of a textbook quality Napa bottle. Dark in the glass, but not overpowering on the palate, the finish is long and tasty, supported by sweet, silky tannins as this wine enters a prime drinking window.

October 31, 2015 - Dark cherry and cassis with slate, earth and hint of milk chocolate. Soft tannins lead to a weaker structure mid palate. Some heat that evened out after about 30 minutes. Would benefit from decanting, but ready to drink now. Fulsome mouthfeel with a lingering after.

September 21, 2015 - Not good the first day. Worse the second day. Tasted like tar with a him t of dark fruit. Ended up dumping it. May have been corked, because we liked this when we tasted at Total Wine and more. Nevertheless, won't buy again

March 22, 2015 - A good solid well made wine that tends more toward the red fruit flavors. A little better the second day.
