March 28, 2023 - Presented really well. Ripe but elegant. Blackberry fruit and eucalyptus. Nice balance of fruit and structure.
Great example of showing restraint, very well executed medium bodied Cab.
January 13, 2023 - 醒酒一个半小时,中石榴红色,闻香有明显的青味,黑果混合着淡淡桉树味一类草本味。入口酸度中高,酒液咸,收口甜,单宁紧涩,细沙状,青椒,桉树,黑加仑,陈年发展出的梅果香气,咸矿石的矿物感,还有泥土气息,余味果香,口中还有糖的甜美。非常标准的澳洲赤霞珠,风格很直接,没有巴罗萨产区那样的热感,但也有一点甜感。现在处在最适饮的状态。
June 27, 2020 - Good length and balance. Well integrated tanins that are still present, but not overwhelming in any way. Classic cab fruits with subtle oak characteristics. Nice long finish, very enjoyable.
September 1, 2019 - Nice plump fruit with sweetish red currants, plums, cigar box and spice, a nuttiness to it also with cedar tones from the oak. Acid pretty much resolved with a touch of drying tannin on the finish. Very "smooth". Good drinking.
April 17, 2014 - Nose: dark currants, fig paste, smoke, violets, cedar planks. Juicy fruit, fine tannins, fresh acid. I love the smoky, tobacco-laced tones to the jammy currant and black cherry fruit. I get this interesting combination of chewing tobacco mixed with green pepper and sage. Full of fruit, but also some smoky, earthy tones.
October 17, 2013 - "2014" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/13/2013-10/18/2013 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 14.5%} The judges called earlier for a second bottle of this, indicating they suspected a fault. This reject bottle has had some air over the morning by the time I get to it at lunch. It’s young, smelling largely of coconut, plums and oak. The medium-bodied palate is pretty light-on for acid, and has sweet-stewed, confectionary-like red fruit flavours, with a distinct artificial-sweetener taste. Something bacterial/bretty going on here? Vague, unfocussed palate; not very satisfying, but not obviously faulty either. Not a great advert for Clare cabernet at any rate.
October 4, 2013 - Sweet cassis aromas. Too much sweetness on the palate for me, verging on jammy at times. Nice roasted tomato flavour on the finish.
