February 2, 2021 - A smooth and beautiful chardonnay, striking the right balance between fruit and acidity. The wine is evolving to show more of the secondary characteristics now rather than just fruits. Ticked all the right boxes - stone fruits, citrus, orange peel and a wonderful texture in the mouth. Excellent finish to round it all off. Drink now but best to wait for 5+ years (more on the longer side).

January 11, 2019 - A very good wine, but this particular example is not up there with the best past vintages of Craighall I have enjoyed. A little shy on the nose, very well structured. Banana and tropical fruit flavours, but none of the rich stonefruit flavours that I usually associate with Craighall.

December 18, 2016 - Super wine with impressive structure, and notes of nuts, citrus and a pleasant level of reduction.

February 14, 2015 - Prince Saturday tasting - Random selection (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): medium minus intensity aromas of peachy stone fruit, cream, leather and spice. In the mouth the wine is a bit flabby with slightly sour fruit, it's disjointed with almost sulphurous notes as well on the finish. Pretty awful

December 28, 2013 - Classic NZ Wine Trail - Martinborough (Martinborough): peach, melon, toast, nutty and oaked, quite complex. well balanced and grand structure, remind me Chassagne-Montrachet. 30 years old vines, low yield. top level Martinborough Chardonnay.
