December 25, 2021 - Needed 2-3 hours of air. Very wood-influenced and high alcohol with good polish. The tannins were still pronounced but have integrated well. For me this is not the ideal style and a bit lacking in Piedmontese identity but still enjoyable. This is a food wine and went well with braised beef - would be difficult to drink standalone.

January 14, 2021 - Love this powerful Barolo! Dried black fruit, blackberry, plum, black currant, prune, soft raisin, espresso, laurel, soft balsamic note, medium to full body, strong long finish. Drink now up to 10 years.

November 1, 2020 - Quite impressive Barolo from this outstanding vintage. So much going on after 30-60 minutes of aeration. Bouquet of sour cherries, menthol, violets some white pepper and other spices. Besides its full body the inner core possesses an intricate sweetness. The tannins are ultimately refined and everything is in the right place. This is a gorgeous Sori Ginestra with at least 2 decades of life ahead.
