November 9, 2018 - (Probably from the mid-1980s by the looks of the foil, cork and label, feels like a blend of all three varieties of grapes, probably a higher dosage of 10 gr/l)
Still good pressure showing when removing the cork, and it looks very bright yellow in colour and with a fine stream of bubbles. Such a wonderful mature nose showing hazelnuts, baked bread and a hint of Tahiti vanilla. With time in the glass it opens up with lovely butter and roasted coffee notes in a very lovely and expressive style. Maturing palate with a fresh citrus sweetness in the beginning, lovely intensity on the mid part before the lengthy butter and cream finish.. This was a surprisingly good showing bottle that has aged very well in a French cellar for three decades just to give life tonight in my kitchen! Excellent!
🍾Should probably keep a few more years and was probably very different in its youth.. 🏅90p -
