    August 10, 2019 - Oxidized. Sherried. Aweful.

June 7, 2019 - Pale lemon in the glass. Not an overly intense, nor exciting nose, displaying some citrus fruit, white flowers and flint. More yellow apple and stone fruit open on the palate, but still remain pretty undercover. Medium (+) acidity that could be more balanced with the fruit concentration and alcohol. Medium finish. Nothing overly serious, drink up.

May 17, 2019 - Brilliant brightness and fruit. A biting, juicy Vouvray.

  • mchrist Does not like this wine:

April 30, 2019 - This wine is really bad. It's not as terrible as its cousin, the Clos du Bourg, but it's just not good. Huet missed the mark in a meaningful way in 2012 and I question the merit of laying these down for long term or buying at all going forward. Avoid or drink now.

February 20, 2019 - Full yellow. Little aroma. Thin and earthy-not Vouvray at all. Some citrus, but weird, clipped chemical finish. Dreadful aftertaste. I can't put my finger on exactly what was going on with this bottle, but suffice it to say nothing good. 2012 is clearly not a great vintage for this cuvée, but it can and should be better than this.
