December 5, 2021 - Nose of vanilla with rose poking through. Powdery but strong tannins that don't distract. Chocolate flavor coming through at a second level.

Very well-balanced despite the 15% ABV and an incredilbly good wine. Drink now or in the next year (2022). Held in the glass for a bit, but started to fade.

March 31, 2020 - This is a fairly big and dry wine with loads of ripe black fruit, tobacco leaf, cocoa, medium acidity and some still aggressive tannins. This is a fairly well balanced red even with an ABV of 15% as there is little to no heat from the alcohol. An excellent QPR.

April 9, 2019 - Red fruit forward, matched almost mouth watering acid and tannins. Some leather, not oaky at all. Medium weight, short finish. Nice QPR.

April 7, 2019 - I fought a pitched battle with the cork. The cork won. So after passing the wine through a fine mesh filter, I poured a glass of deep ruby red wine. It was quite forward, with red fruit, herbs and a bit of leather. Pretty much dead on Tempranillo. Easy to drink, it will make a great match with grilled meat, as it should!

May 11, 2018 - Ripe and pleasing. I little heat. Not over the top jammy and no obtrusive oakiness.

March 18, 2018 - Purple to inky, medium legs, light sediment in final glass. Aromas of strawberry, raisin, fig, cherry, dust, oak, vanilla, lead pencil, medium toast, clove, hay/straw, eucalyptus, stems, cocoa and soy. On the palate, spicy and fruit flavors predominate. Medium/full body, texture leathery and smooth. Medium to medium-plus acidity, long finish. Overall impression: varietally correct Tempranillo, nicely done. At $15, QPR is slightly below average. Drink now or in 2019.

March 2, 2018 - Showing similar to a year ago. Ripe and rich, but not oaky. Strong tannic presence still. Nice Tempranillo flavor profile. Good stuff.

March 11, 2017 - Very good bottle again. Very ripe and rich - a good burger and BBQ wine. Still some tannin present - this will go a few more years.
