Floral, citrus, lemon and lime a little sulphur and a little pleach/stone fruit underpin. Medium plus acidity, similar fruit profile with the stone fruit more to the fore, touch of alcohol warmth on the finish. Hmm.
I guessed Victorian Chardonnay, probably Yarra, 2012 -

February 4, 2022 - This wine is still too young as it has plenty of acidity and structure to go the distance - 2025+ may be?
A reductive nose and struck match, not a whole lot of fruit. Body was very leaning towards lemon, lemons zest and quite citrus. Notes, of nectarines and peach can be detected but you have to work through quite a layer of almost impenetrable citrus. Racy acidity keeping the whole show fresh and speedy leading to a refined finish with herbal notes.
Some will like this, some won’t so food matching is very important to take the edge of this wine. -

November 28, 2013 - This was a wine I couldn't wait to try given my continual enjoyment of the 2010 Estate Chardonnay which for mine is great value for money.
The 2012 is a step up from both a price and quality perspective with care taken in fruit selection and winemaking more than evident.
Layered complex and textual all come to mind when tasting this wine, there is restrained stone fruits and lemon pith against a backbone of natural sherbet acidity that gets rounded and tempered by just enough complex lees characters and wood spice to add interest now and underwrite considerable development in the bottle. A classic.

October 12, 2013 - James Halliday top regional Chardonnay tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): Nutty and savoury with the lees poking through and a nice deep integrated acid on the lengthy palette which balances the subdued oak.
