February 15, 2008 - Following the Moncuit 1996 BdB, tshows the extra few years age. The color has deepened with the green tinge replaced by golden highlights. Surprisingly strong pressure and plenty of fizz remaining. Remarkably fresh with a nice acidic backbone but a nice round tone and medium density. The pinot fruit manifests itself in in a fuller and heavier bubbly but the house stiyle is consistent. Very fresh with a focus on the mineral element rather than the fruit.
