May 11, 2023 - Very enjoyable and fruit forward. At this age, PnP was no problem for tannins as they are a modest dusting, while the fruit shows no signs of trailing off. At peak?

December 2, 2018 - I used this bottle as a 'cellar defender' when I was in the mood for something good and it did not disappoint. This wine is no where near its peak however. 90+

May 20, 2018 - Unfortunately drunk a week ago with too many other wines but impression was excellent. Wowed the Napa big wine crowd too, but seemed really balanced in my recollection.

April 8, 2018 - Dark inky purple. Nose dark fruited with violets and flowers, some baking spice. Palate juicy, hint of brambles, raspberry, some spicy hints, nice texture. We really enjoyed this, went well with grilled meats, accessible and open even with “one shots” with my uncle. 92 pts

March 15, 2018 - Spice and purple flowers on the nose, black fruit, touch of saline, enjoyable acid and higher tannins levels. There's a rich plushness that make this very quaffable, a surprising but welcome experience for a 2011.

February 6, 2018 - Rich blackberry and red currant fruit is very easy to drink on day 1, shows more structure and plenty more fruit on day 2 and 3. A lot of substance here, if a little simple/sweet at the moment. Drink or hold.

    July 14, 2017 - Perfumed nose.
Sweet red fruit on the forepalate.
Drying tannins give way to the
complex lengthy finish, deserving of contemplation.
This is still too young in my opinion. Wait 4-5 years. While everything isn't in harmony yet, the nose and the finish are both outstanding.

April 22, 2017 - Nice light nose. Earthy slight fruit long tannin finish. There are probably cheaper than 40 bucks malbecs out there that are as good or better. $40 is a lot for Malbec.

    April 12, 2017 - A Berserker Day purchase. Decanted for 30 minutes.
On the nose I got sweet blackberries, plum and a hint of pepper. Really nice on the nose. Really opened up after a 30 minute decant.
On the palate I got some more blackberries and plum. Really smooth tannins. Nice long finish.
