December 8, 2014 - Arbe Garbe is rumored to bring good luck. This is my 2nd bottle and the first did indeed bring me good luck. Let's see what happens this time.

July 24, 2014 - Jon Bonné and "The New California" @ E&R (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): 45% Pinog Gris, 40% Malvasia Biano and 15% Gewertz. The winemaker's wife is from Fruli. Sweet apricot aromas with other stone fruit, but this is mixed with a diesel aroma... perhaps some armpit. Over all it's quite different but nice. Softer texture on the palate with notes of lime rind. Rich, nice, sweet acid. Very nice and soft. Tart rich and lush finish. Smooth, with pleasing clean minerality covering the tongue. Nice earthy notes. Lovely.

June 13, 2014 - Fantastic wine, lively acidity with medium body fruit. Tough to sort it all out, but it works out nicely. Perfect for a Friday night starter.

May 31, 2014 - BYO (Casa FV): Aromatic, youthful nose with a floral & vegetal streak as well as a bit of fatness. Notes of asparagus, melon, pineapple, pear and honey. Fairly full-bodied and complex taste with medium acidity, some glycerol fat and a light grapeskin structure. Well balanced, fresh and generous, not the least alcoholic (14%). Very hard to guess what it is and from where, but Austria and Friuli seem to be good theories. Well, it's actually a RRV field blend of malvasia, pinot gris and gewurztraminer (K&L).

May 24, 2014 - Even better than I remember the previous vintage. Ripe flavors of melon, peach, citrus and honeysuckle. Beautifully balanced, with just enough richness.
