May 6, 2019 - 2018 Visit to Domaine Château De La Tour with Claire Naigeon (Clos Vougeot): Claire noted that in 2016 only 600 bottles of this cuvée were able to be made. From a high site in Beaune. A breezy, fresh bouquet with chalky minerals, red cherry and raspberry. In the mouth, delicate and lacey. Red and more dark coloured fruit with earth and stony minerals. Nice, precise acidity. Ripe, not showing noticeable pyrazines or greenness. An acceptable Villages level wine. Drink from now on.
