November 30, 2023 - PnP. The cork broke as it was coming out, had to filter due to cork pieces.
Opens with strawberry, cherry, cranberry, plum, earth, spice and floral. Lots of flavor showing strawberry, cranberry, spice, earth, plum and cherry. Nicely balanced. A little tannin shows up in the finish. Not likely to get any better.

November 24, 2023 - Drank from magnum for Thanksgiving. Stunning wine which just hit on all marks. Proof these Rhys wines can age well.

August 1, 2023 - Much better than the last bottle. PnP. Opens with strawberry, cherry, cranberry, plum, earth, spice and floral. Lots of flavor showing strawberry, cranberry, spice, earth, plum and cherry. Nicely balanced. A little tannin shows up in the finish. Medium ruby color.

November 8, 2022 - Last bottle of this. Definitely at or slightly past the peak, depending on your personal taste profile I'm sure. Slight bricking around the rim. Very expressive nose of blood orange & cranberry cherry. Tart but not sour. Finishes long and savory. Enjoyable.

(Rhys Pinot Noir San Mateo County) Final blend pre-bottling: black-tinged very dark cherry red color; lifted, stems, roast green bean, forest floor, tree bark, earthy nose; tight, roasted green bean, stems, forest floor, rosehips, mineral palate; needs 3-plus years to integrate; medium-plus finish (about 58% whole cluster) 90-92 points
