December 26, 2018 - This was in a good spot. Served prior to Christmas dinner of standing rib roast.
Bright acidity that has mellowed out and came more into balance since release. Plenty of bright red fruit with a small amount of wood on the finish. Light mouth feel, a refreshing drink. Not much tertiary on the nose.
I will save my remaining bottles for the next few years. -

October 23, 2016 - Thought I was grabbing a Weber got a Gehrts instead. Beautiful ruby color. Nose at first was pretty tart fruit driven but after 2+ hours it is much more layered with an intense pepper, some clove, loam and raspberry. On the palate tart cherry, raspberry, bit of loam and cinnamon. Really an acid driven wine with the tart red fruits. Tannins are there and are pretty silky on the finish. Paired with salmon, grain pilaf, green beans. Very enjoyable!

February 9, 2016 - Similar to the previous note, but this time there was some pepper flavors just after opening and with air it went away. Very tart at two hours, dominated by cherriy, but the raspberry and rhubarb are still there .

February 7, 2016 - Tart is the word and I like tart Pinot. A bit underripe and that's how I like them. Tart cherry. Lots of acid, no real tannin. I am a big fan of AM but for this price point there is better stuff out there.
