March 23, 2016 - Needs time. .. great wine for the money.

March 1, 2016 - This wine took a while to open up - from first taste (very tight) to true character was about two hours of decanting. The result of the wait was a reasonably balanced, enjoyable wine. Nothing that will knock your socks off, but a good representation of what Bordeaux offers at an excellent price. It presented about every savoury aroma and flavour that one could ask for: herbal notes, black pepper, earth/soil, stone, meat/game, and toast. Only after sufficient time did the fruit and sweet spices appear to try to balance things out. In the end, it wasnt enough - the tannins, acidity, and overly strong earthy tastes won out. Im having trouble deciding; perhaps it needed another few years to mellow out, or maybe it was just not that great to begin with!

August 17, 2015 - I really thought this was pretty good especially for the price. Had with tenderloin. Easy to drink. Ready now. Will buy more. Medium finish

June 26, 2015 - Initially quite hard. After a few hours, forest andbrambles on the nose and an attractive softness over a pleasant set of tannins
Merlot dominates at this stage. 88 by the end of the bottle
