December 17, 2022 - Outstanding. Absolut erhabener, wunderbar gereifter, vollmundiger und einnehmender Wein, hier ist gar nichts alt oder auf dem absteigenden Ast. Der macht brutal viel Spaß.

July 10, 2022 - Well past its best-drinking days, you can still find some remaining red fruits in all of its tobacco, herb, wet earth, and forest floor characteristics. Medium-bodied and pleasant, the wine requires drinking over the next few years before any additional fruit fades away. Drink from 2022-2025.

March 10, 2021 - This wine isn't for everybody. It is heavily tertiary especially super funky (brett?) at pop. This needs about 2-3 hours decant for the fruit to properly come out. But when it does, it is really a beautiful example of Margaux. A delicate and soft expression of cabernet with nuances of red fruit intermingled with earth, soil, and forest floor. I have gone through about 4 bottles of this and every time it has been a delight.

November 23, 2020 - Tertiary characteristics of damp forest floor, a little too much brett for my liking, barely any fruit left. Some older wines tend to be more interesting than good and it was the case here. Based on previous experience with older bottles of Bordeaux that seemed fresher, I think this bottle might not have been as well stored. Looking at my past tasting notes, I’ve had a 2002 before from this chateau that was a sleeper hit for the vintage which I thought was a lovely wine.
