December 31, 2021 - Opened for NYE 2021 —> 2022. This is medium gold. On the nose, I get lemons, some yeast, and bruised apples. The dosage shows via some slight sweetness in the mouth. The finish is rich and modestly creamy. Overall, this was an enjoyable celebratory Champs, although it probably is a tad overpriced (this bottle came in a gift box, which had some unnecessary packaging/ornamentation with it, such as an envelope containing a series of fancy cards with basic info about the house and wine, all undoubtedly adding to the price). 90 points.

December 13, 2021 - Christmas Claret: Creamy and finely chalky. Mid weight, nicely elegant. Some ripeness but holds its line. ****

October 30, 2021 - Dinner at Sushi Kondo (Sushi Kondo, Sentosa Golf Club, Singapore): I was not a fan of this one. It was objectively a decently good Champagne, but I thought it did not quite live up to its price or reputation. This felt just a tad in-your-face for my liking. The nose was very nice I must say, with notes of oats and vanilla cream, brioche, some ripe yellow fruit, and roasted nuts around the side. A very rich bouquet. The palate was very expressive too, with upfront notes of ripe yellow fruit and sweet lemon acidity leading into a moreish midpalat that showed just a little hint of a savoury, oxidative character. There was a fairly vigorous mousse and a decent amount of acidity otherwise. The finish was a little dryer after that ripe attack, but here the Champagne felt a tad unrefined as it petered out with a burst of alcohol warmth, then a distinct digestive biscuit note, all traced with just a little hint of spice and mineral. A big, burly Belle Epoque - fairly enjoyable, but not brilliant.

October 30, 2021 - Another exemplary bottle taken to dinner out and paired with oysters on the half shell; apple and citrus notes, chalky minerality; a great match with the oysters!

July 5, 2021 - In a friendly spot right now; marzipan, apple and lemon flavors show a strong chalky minerality on the nose. Elegant, a bit of light-medium-bodied flavors that show ripeness and less obvious acidity than compared to other vintages of this wine. Good balance between the fruit and maturity. Elegant, tight mousse. 92-93.
