July 24, 2020 - Holy schnikes....this may be the best rendition of Sleepy Hollow syrah I've had to date. Sensual and suave on the palate that delivers a mouthful of meat, earth, dark berries, and a soy/umami undertone. This bottle kept building and building like a freight train rolling down the track with the last glass being the best glass after 4+ hours open. Joe's '08 are on-point and, in my opinion, the best vintage across the board for Arcadian since the 2005's. Damn.

May 23, 2019 - Really a ringer for a nice hermitage. A hint of Brett, smoky bacon, white pepper and dark brambly fruit on the nose. Still pretty tight and a touch tannic on the palate, but nice crunchy fruit and acidity. Lovely wine that punches way above its price point!

December 7, 2017 - OK - this is the first time I am experiencing "barnyard funK" and now I can appreciate the term! However; once you get past it (it dissipates within 30 mins), the underlying is northern Rhone like - savory, meaty with mild fruit in the background.

November 18, 2017 - There was a lot of barnyard funk here that was fun and in my wheelhouse, but a bit too much. It took a long time to blow off. This has a similar profile to Northern Rhone, except slightly more ripe red fruit. This is a good wine to serve people who feel that Aussie and American syrah is too big. It is not a small wine, it carries itself well.
