January 20, 2023 - Fully ready to drink. Lots of fine sediment. Intoxicating floral aroma. High-toned, red-fruit flavor -- clean and intense. Completely satisfying.
June 17, 2022 - Agree with other notes that this needs a couple hours in decanter to open up. Tannins have somewhat resolved, though the intensity of fruit was disappointing for a name brand barolo. Didnt get much in the way of secondary characteristics. Will hold remaining for a few more years
December 1, 2021 - Surprisingly ready to drink, from the first taste and more definitively after a two-hour decant. it still has a firm acidic structure, but with no shrillness, and then an elegant floral profile. Very popular with our guests.
September 6, 2021 - Coming into its own. Lots of structure and acid but the heavy tannins have started to recede. Rasika and dark plums coat on the palate. As always with Barolo, it goes so much better with food.
July 18, 2020 - Red tawny color. Quite subtle aromas even after a long decant. Plenty of acidity and well balanced tannins but also a very silky texture give a very enjoyable length and taste.
May 21, 2020 - Needs lots of air, one hour decant and then it became much better around two hours later. Nice barolo but I would not buy again at its price point. There are barolos just as good for considerably less money.
June 21, 2019 - On the very young side but shows tons of promise. Leather and tobacco. Strong tannins still. Will try to ignore the remaining bottles for a few more years.
