March 15, 2020 - At home with Tom and Bin. Very pleasant and mature without being anything special. I enjoyed this quite a bit though. As with many of these older bottles, it was a bit tight and sleepy when first opened, but blossomed with a bit of time and air. It had a lovely mature Bordeaux nose, with drifts of tobacco herb, leafy sous bois and spiced meats wafting through a core of cassis and darker berries. With time, some minty, menthol shades came out as well. The palate was perhaps a step less impressive than the nose promised, but it was still really enjoyable. There was still plenty of sweet acidity, along with a little chew of ripe tannins, that gave a succulent stcuture to the wine’s ripe flavours of cassis and dark berries, these seasoned with a nice bit of earth, mineral and spice on the midpalate and into a nicely lingering finish. It was just going a little lean at points, with the fruit thinning out to show the bones of the structure. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant old Bordeaux.

August 28, 2015 - Rozebottel, cederhout, tannines nog aanwezig. Nat bos, zachte kersen. Nog mooi na even vrijheid en lucht voor de wijn.

August 17, 2013 - quite brown tinges to colour, shows its age, nose fruity, soft, palate also quite soft, lacks the ultimate character and class of a top growth but pleasant enough

November 9, 2012 - Hmm... Grei, litt stram "kjeller" på duft i starten. God smak - hverken mer eller mindre. Litt kort finish smaksmessig. God duft etterhvert, etter ca 1 time i flaske. Definitivt over-the-top.

May 29, 2011 - Bottle was slightly corked. The underlying fruit just could not overcome the flaw
