July 19, 2023 - Past prime. Still good. Heavy sediment.
April 5, 2023 - This bottle was in the zone. Fading candied red fruit, spice, earth, and a long persistent finish.
February 26, 2022 - Silky, resolved and approachable. Loamy with deeper purple coloring. Refined and elegant, dare I say Corton-ish in complexion. Ready now, and could hold a few more years but I think this is in a good zone. Was paired with the '04 Beaucastel and that was a fun flight.
February 24, 2022 - I guess last bootle was special. This is a bit past.
February 12, 2022 - OMG. Worth the wait. It is still at its peak. Wisj=h I had 1 case left instead of 1 bottle!
January 16, 2022 - Probably a bit past its prime (at least this bottle.) Starting to lose some complexity, took a while to clear up. A lot of dark fruit (like plum and fig) and an impressive amount of graphite and licorice. Alcohol was a bit more present than I would have expected. An excellent wine overall, but drink now.
November 28, 2020 - Unfortunately my last bottle. Very, very nice, especially considering its age at 16 years. A nose with rich black cherries, cassis, plum, dried figs and chocolate. A smooth, silky mouth, with cherries, plum and smooth tannins. As per my previous note: a joy to drink!
August 7, 2020 - Brick red at this point in its life, the 2004 still presents with rich plum and cherry fruit but the 15% alcohol leaves a sharper finish than one would hope. Still very good, but probably past its prime.
July 29, 2020 - Wonderful CNDP. Elegant with a nose of smoke and leather with smooth cherry flavors.
April 26, 2020 - - Garnet color with medium forming legs and has flavours of cherry and black pepper with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture with a long finish - Heerlijk, na 16 jaar nog super. Heel lange afdronk
