May 5, 2024 - Picked this up in Majorca 8 years ago and thought it about time I popped the cork .. Started with a bit of a vegetal funk but 3 hours into the drinking experience and this is drinking very nicely indeed , I’d say this is in its prime drinking window right now . Very good .. vanilla, spice and a hint of leather, not much fruit at the forefront but with a bit of coaxing I am getting some nice dark forest fruit.. getting better with every swish of my glass.. loving this now ! On opening I was rating this 88 - 6 hours in and I’m giving this a 92 lots of spice at the end, unfortunately still getting a little bit of greenery which has to take a point

March 3, 2023 - Dark red, almost opaque, slightly vegetal and woodsy, cedar-y and tobacco-y nose, yet still fresh. Medium-bodied, a hint of astringency on the finish that balances quite nicely with the woodsy notes. I was worried that this was too “mature” but fortunately nothing a bite of brebis couldn’t handle!

January 26, 2023 - This seems to be the wine with the greatest dependence on my mood of the day. My ratings ranged between this and 93, I think. It was my last bottle, yeah !

May 23, 2022 - This time it was day one which made me want to rate this at 94 from where it descended to a 90. One bottle to go, scheduled for 2023.

December 15, 2021 - I can't stress enough that this is a food wine in the strictest possible sense and that the rating is completely contingent on assuming that it is almost exclusively applied that way. Day 1 had me wanting to rate this as 86 or something since my dislike of it grew over the years. However, that was influenced by me wanting to enjoy half a glass independent of food later, but the overbearing acidity and extreme veggie notes makes this very unenjoyable to me. So not only do you need food with this, it should also be food a bit on the heavier side that really needs some obstinate counterforce to digest it. Under these conditions, this wine, which apparently assumes rather rustic Spanish tapas consuming habits, really shines, and the rating is to be seen this way. Very herbal, almost saline and sour, good !

November 13, 2020 - Acidic animal veggie soup to cut through heavy food. Rating valid for said purpose. Not a solist, to put it mildly. Since the sediment precipitation is now irremediable anyway, I might as well extend the window for my last 3 bottles until 2023 to see what the acids do.

    February 17, 2020 - Last of 4 bottles.
Medium red /black color and throwing lots of sediment.

Savory nose - tobacco, earth, cranberry & cherry. On palate, tangy / savory profile consistent with nose and medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long finish. I loved this. Was good on night 2 as well. 92+/-
