February 20, 2010 - Nice burgundy color, clear, still lots of purple (though touches of ruby/orange starting to filter through). Classic Vosne Romanee nose, touch of bark/barnyard, but lots of strong fruit as well (cherry, cassis). Well balanced on the palate, with a touch of tannin still evident. Paired fantastically with roast chicken, fresh bread, and some nice camembert.

October 11, 2009 - Started off a bit closed. Nice spice notes as it opened up. Nice light cherry notes on taste, but a bit short on taste. Very smooth. May need a bit more time to open up. Nevertheless an enjoyable bottle. No silly green notes per the biased views of the 2004 vintage.

January 9, 2006 - Howard Ripley 2004 Burgundy Tasting (St. James Club, Piccadilly): Again, good intense ripe red fruit. Even better depth on the palate than the Clavelier, not sure there is quite the same purity but good acidity and promising nevertheless.
