January 18, 2020 - Loved this. Lots of roasted sesame and soy in the aroma profile. Big, profound.
December 14, 2019 - No more fruit. Just must alcohol.
October 19, 2018 - Wine Spectator newbies; 10/18/2018-10/20/2018 (Marriott Marquis): More of a mix between the spice and potpourri and red fruits. It's a bit smoother and a bit less of an intense finish that the other two had. Almost a touch of coffee towards the end. This softened in the glass. Starting to prob be a bit closer to the drinking window.
March 8, 2018 - I have had this three times now. Once it was fantastic, but twice it has been somewhat underwhelming.
Update: half the bottle was put in the fridge overnight and it was significantly better on day two. Still not outstanding but at least an improvement.
January 11, 2018 - Two bottles that could have not been more different. The first was lovely, fully mature, soft and subtle. Clearly in its secondary phase with some barnyard and nutty aromas. The second bottle seemed far younger but not as well balanced. The first bottle could have been a 92/93 and the second a 89/90. I will give the benefit of the doubt as the first was lovely.

September 18, 2017 - Enigmatic. Hinting at a brighter future. Complex forest floor aromas dominate the bouquet, which also includes red and black cherries and cinnamon. Mouth filling with big tannins and moderate acidity. This wine was clearly built to age, and it's starting to get there.
June 11, 2017 - Hard and angular. Not very gratifying.
August 4, 2015 - a good effort despite the difficult vintage, tasted blind, it hardly gave off any unplesant green smell, tannins quite fine but after too long in the glass became a bit harsh. Not bad for the price but 04 is not my favorite vintage for sure.
February 19, 2015 - Med garnet, stemmy nose with strawberry under note. Rough tannin in mouth, some floral and oak spice, bitter and lack touch of sweetness.
January 8, 2013 - Second favorite of the Faiveley's we tried in SBH over Christmas.
