  January 5, 2018 - This is in a good place. Mocha and floral notes and slight bit of raisin on the nose. The wine is chewy with some cherry notes and it has a pretty nice finish also. This was well worth the wait.

  January 7, 2014 - Like many other 2008 Paso reds, this is right in it's drinking window. Spicy red fruit, mocha, smoke, with a bit of earth and mineral. Lots of heat on the nose and palate that dissipate somewhat with air. Full-bodied and very rich with a long alcoholic finish. Enjoyable, but bordering on a fortified wine experience. I'd drink over the next few years.

  November 13, 2013 - Sharon's Birthday (Kapcsandy, Rhys, Huet, Pape Clement, +++) (GHT): Purple/ruby in color. The nose has raspberries, cherries and black raspberries. Is there Zin in this? The nose has that bramble quality as well. Full bodied. Not complex but lots of tasty fruit. Easy to drink. Red fruits mostly. An earthy undertone.
