Community Tasting Notes 10

August 30, 2018 - An earthy mix of red & black fruit. Like the nose here.

Decent acidity, not overly complex on the palate, but a decent wine overall.

February 11, 2017 - Transparent ruby purple in the glass. Shy nose on opening. Opens up to cranberry-grape tea, echoed on the palate. Medium plus tannins; medium acidity. Here's your house food wine.

November 8, 2015 - A tasty value wine from Burgundy from a great producer. Nothing amazing here, but quality wine with a solid Burgundy soul. The nose has red berries, game, earth, and hints of minerality. The palate is nicely done and flavorful, maybe a touch thin, but for the price pretty well made from a tough vintage.

January 7, 2015 - This is a pleasant and enjoyable drink that is uncomplicated, but tasty. The nose has red fruit, a bit of earth, and some hints of flowers. The palate is good, fresh, and fruity. Easy to drink, not a wine to think about. Tasty and pleasurable.

August 24, 2014 - Light translucent ruby in the glass; floral/fruity nose - I don't know what percentage Gamay is in this blend, but this strikes me as a very "Gamay" nose.

I don't normally use "thirst quenching" as a descriptor for a red, but it fits here. Sweet/tart, primarily red-fruited, zero complexity here, but you can toss down a glass of this alarmingly easily (and I just did).
