January 13, 2024 - Timuquana BYO (TCC): Just a lot. This wine is a lot of fruit and a lot of alcohol and a lot of flavor. It’s been open for some time but feels like it could have used even more time. Lots going on.

    May 5, 2021 - Served blind.
Initially aromas of slightly sour red cherry married to blackberry, peppery notes, slight prunes as well (oddly). Juicy with ridiculous alcohol levels - positively porty - feels like there is some residual sugar here as well, talc textured tannins, long. Big boy Shiraz. No prisoners taken.
The red notes made me think of Victoria, but Shiraz, 2003, under screwcap.

November 10, 2018 - Killer juice, intense and concentrated without being jammy. Needs at least 8-10 years to settle, then should reward drinkers for two decades or more.

November 10, 2018 - A Matter of Taste: New York (The Conrad NY | Del Posto): Maybe one of my favorites of the Chris Ringland line-up. There's lots of red jammy fruit and yet somehow this is a bit more elegant than I would have thought. Nice acidity that seems to stay in the background. Enjoyable.

May 9, 2018 - Elegant rich cola. Less broody than Dimchurch. Elegantly huge.

August 22, 2015 - 2011 DRC and a range of others: Blind. Coffee, VA, chocolate, plum, pepper and some red jubes. Takes no prisoners on the palate, a large amount of fruit concentration and dense structure. Almost tastes like it was bottled yesterday, this will live for a long time.

November 28, 2014 - Tasted during a Wine advocate event - A matter of taste. Very dark purple. Nose of licorice, dark fruit, smoke and rubber, roasted meat. This is another AUS Shiraz where somebody decided the more the merrier, drinkability and elegance left behind. Almost painfully powerful, I can't see how this will ever go with food. What is your style? Pamela Anderson or Audrey Hepburn - you decide! The realistic range for such a wine is probably 85-95...

November 22, 2014 - Tasted this during Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate's Matter of Taste @ Singapore Art Museum. Tasted this after the 2009 Chris Ringland Shiraz Dimchurch.

A powerful and concentrated wine which is simply breath-taking. The sensations of the explosive fruits, smoothness, lushness and elegance is astonishing.

A real blockbuster, full of energy and power, fruit driven with a long, silky finish. This wine is well integrated and hard to fault.

My favourite wine of the event.

November 22, 2014 - This was a huge wine with very large red and dark fruits. Very fruity and very slightly syrupy. The most outstanding observation is that the wine was extremely creamy, svelte and lush. It just glides over your palate and coats it with an explosion of flavours of vanilla, oak, chocolate, cherries, cassis, blackberries...... It just goes on and on and connects into the finish. The finish is just as spectacular and quite long. This wine cold be a meal in itself with the thickness and denseness. As a note, the alcohol was not evident and there was no heat. The style is undoubtedly aussie but is balanced and not over the top. Fantastic.
