    April 10, 2022 - Dark ruby; cherry on the nose; a beautiful combination of blueberry, cassis, prune, and black cherry on the palate, with a subtle note of bitter seeds on the finish. These layers are gradually changing in the glass. Full body, perhaps a bit excessive in alcohol

    December 21, 2021 - Drinking beautifully. 1st night open. Violets, forest floor, black tea and raspberry couli. Very nice.
    *2nd night. Roses dominant on the palette.
    *4th night strawberries and hay.
    *5th night violets again and end of bottle.
    Epilogue: Great bottle, not bad at all for a non-descript Sonoma Coast. Definitely better than most on the Sonoma Coast. Beautiful.
    Been trying the Aubert portfolio. All impeccably good if not great.

    November 11, 2021 - I must say that I was shocked by the performance of this wine. I purchased upon release and had removed from professional storage. I was worried it would be over the hill. It is a beautiful and vibrant wine with wonderful red fruit note and a distinctive long finish. Palette which is in perfect balance is stronger than the nose but still a terrific wine. Does not show the bombastic characteristics of some of the single vineyard designations from this period for Aubert which is a plus. Enjoy!!

    November 20, 2020 - I’m not in at winery or retail price but pre-aged @ $50 on the secondary market, yeah, ok.

    The nose reveals; ripe, sour, dark cherries, blackberries, black raspberries, dry cranberries, strawberries, plum, raspberries & blueberries, spice, clove, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, vanillin, anise to black licorice, sweet tarriness, dark, rich, earth, tree bark/sap, eucalyptus, maple syrup, dry crushed rocks, volcanics, limestone with some very bright, brilliant, candied fresh & withering; dark, red, purple & blue florals.

    The nose at this point is better than the palate.

    Ripe, sour, dark cherries, blackberries, black raspberries, dry cranberries, strawberries, plum, raspberries some rhubarb & blueberries, dark spice pronounced palate heat, clove, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, vanillin, anise to black licorice, dark, sweet tarriness, dark, rich, earth, tree bark/sap, eucalyptus, dry stems, maple syrup notes, dry crushed rocks, volcanics, limestone with some very bright, brilliant, candied fresh & withering; dark, red, purple & blue florals. The acidity is a February waterfall in Hawaii. The finish is a little hot but, palatable, well balanced, nice tension & structure, elegant, lush, ruby, persistent, landing on deep spice & earth.

    Hits 9.2 rounding up a bit.

    March 2, 2019 - A wonderful bottle of Sonoma Coast pinot. A little thin or I would have scored it a few points higher but I got dry herbs and peppermint along with bright red fruits. If I had any additional bottles I would drink them in the next three years.

    January 31, 2019 - PnP, Drinking dates are very conservative. This has easily 5 more years. Glad we have more. Plenty of acidity with bright red fruit. Save it...

    April 28, 2018 - This was surprisingly outstanding. Alcohol content was not a factor;
    as it drank as smooth as any pinot I have enjoyed. Light rose colored and perfectly balanced. Wish I had more!

    February 28, 2018 - A bit hot which detracts from the fruits somewhat. Very spicy notes and full throttled. Good wine extraction just needed less oak and alcohol to it
