May 3, 2020 - Acetone.
December 25, 2017 - Buttery apple and orchard fruit tones. Medium bodied; lingering finsih.
August 24, 2014 - Good body with nice aromas, more moderate aromas leaning towards fresh/herbal, what I taste in Champagne, some oak still noticeable. Nothing funky or weird about this. Well done, and consumed in support for the Bay area earthquake this morning.
May 21, 2014 - Deep color with notes of apple and honeysuckle with a saline note and a dirty/funky overtone- almost sweatsocks but not quite. Rich mouthfeel with flavors of buttered popcorn, apple and a waxy fruit quality. 87-88 pts.
May 21, 2014 - Opened by Allred at Anvil for veranda opening. The nose on this was funky right upon opening, and never completely blew off. A definite hit of oak with some lemon oil and waxy quality, finishing with a spice note. This paired very well with the lobster bisque last night. It'll be interesting to see if the nose of last night was unique to this bottle, or if it was a one off. Score would have been a tick or two higher without the funk.
May 17, 2014 - Popped and poured, then finished off the next night. Aroma is quite strange, with petrol and vanilla, as well some hint of honey. The taste is almost completely different, with some lemon acidity to it, although there is a bit of the vanilla undertone. I can't quite figure this out, but hopefully the next two bottles I have come together a bit more.
May 9, 2014 - A few days after opening and this is very enjoyable. Rich, has oak but not over-oaked or too full of vanilla. More of a spicy type of oak, ripe fruit, slightly waxy in a good way. Nice wine, can last a few years.
